Permanent Housing
Our permanent housing program provides safe, affordable, housing to formerly homeless individuals and families. The program is comprised of a variety of apartments and townhomes located in close proximity and in surrounding neighborhoods to Opportunity House.
Some participants do not possess the skills needed to live independently in the community and are limited by physical and/or mental disabilities. Others are gainfully employed but are considered “working poor” and lack sufficient income to afford their own residence.
Case management services are available to assist with activities of daily living, money management, and transportation to and from appointments. Child care is also available through the Second Street Learning Center
All individuals and families pay 30% of their monthly income to rent. Utilities such as gas, electric, and water are included in this fee.
An average of 38 adults and 23 children are currently residing in our permanent housing program.
