9th Annual Souper Bowl:
Monday, May 2, 2011

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you to our community, sponsors, volunteers, and staff for making our event such a success...the world's best committee!!  Together, everyone raised a net of more than $61,000.

Our 9th Annual Souper Bowl was held at Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex and Penn State Berks offered us off-site parking this year, it worked out great.  Boscov's Department Stores and Body Zone sold tickets for us again this year.

Bowl making workshops were held at The GoggleWorks, Clay on Main and Clayote. Numerous schools around Berks County also participated in making bowls for our event. We had an amazaing selection of over 800 beautiful bowls this year.

Our "Preview" event had the largest attendance to date, 150 guests.  Lois E. and Irvin Cohen were honored as "Donor of the Year" with a beautiful bowl created by Wesley Muckey of Nolde Forest Pottery.  Simmeria Cafe provided food, while WineDown Cafe, Blair Vineyards, Prime-Steak & Wine, and Stoudt's Brewing Company provided the beverages, with Billy's Candies providing chocolates. Carl Zeplin and Tim Gross entertained us with their muscial talent.
