Job-Readiness and Placement at Job Quest/STRIVE

Job Quest/STRIVE is a three-week intensive training course focused on attitudinal and behavioral change to help chronically unemployed members of our community find and maintain full-time employment. Job Quest/STRIVE is a replication of a proven program in Harlem called STRIVE (Support and Training Results In Valuable Employees). STRIVE graduates have an 80%+ job retention rate after two years.

This program is targeted toward men and women age 18 and up who struggle to overcome employment barriers such as childhood abuse, lack of formal education—many of whom are high school drop-outs, inconsistent work histories, chemical abuse and criminal histories.

The success of program graduates is so high because of active follow-up with all graduates for a period of two years. During this time, Job Quest/STRIVE Staff offer support and guidance to graduates so that they are able to keep their jobs and create financial stability in their lives—often for the first time.

Current Opportunity House services help participants overcome these barriers, while participation in the Soft Skills program teaches basic skills needed to find and maintain entry-level employment opportunities.

If you or someone you know could benefit from a whole new outlook on work and success, please call Job Quest/STRIVE at 610-898-WORK.
