Making a difference: Ortiz, a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Whitfield, is responsible for organizing a weekly Bible study at Opportunity House, Reading. Almost three years ago, he was part of an anniversary presentation program led by the Latino fellowship at the church. A director at the shelter learned of the fellowship through the program and approached Ortiz about forming the group.
