Reminiscing back to when I was a little kid, I remember writing letters to Santa asking him to bring me Barbie's pink dream house, with a big closet filled with Barbie clothes, and a red sports car parked right outside the garage door.
I'm sure all of us have asked for silly stuff like that, or for world peace or just the world's largest cookie. As I grew older I learned not everyone was as lucky as I was to have their wishes come true.
If I were to receive $1,000 to give to anyone in the world, I would definitely give it to the kids at the Opportunity House here in Reading.
This year I have been participating in activities initiated by the Wilson High School Interact Club. I have the privilege to do good deeds for the community that I live in.
I had the opportunity to go and visit the kids at Opportunity House. This is basically a day care, except the kids here are not as fortunate as I am.
Sometimes their parents are not able to take care of these kids 24/7 so they drop them off where they are taken care of until they are picked up.
