We have thousands of people using our programs in the course of a YEAR -
every day is different. Our shelters are full year-round
(approximately
40 men, 35 women/children) Our
transitional housing and permanent
housing holds approximately 10 families (various
sizes).

How long can a person stay at opportunity house for?
We do not put a time frame on a stay. Everyone who makes a commitment
to stay in our program develops a personal plan. That plan and the
speed of success determines the length of stay.

Do you keep in touch with families that have received help from
Opportunity House?
We provide aftercare to families and individuals who exit our programs.
It is their choice to maintain contact with us.

Opportunity House is located in Reading, Pennsylvania and serves residents of Berks County. Our goal is to help families and adults become and remain independent members of our community.
